In the late 19th century, in the Krasnaya Polyana region, an Estonian settlement was founded called Esto-Sadok. Some of the settlers lived apart, one of whom went by the name of Eduard Roza. In the most beautiful and secluded mountain location, away from the hustle and bustle, he had his own farm, which was called Roza Khutor [Rose Farm].
