Art photographs from the former Soviet Union were auctioned at Sotheby's in London. The collection of 155 lots of "underground" works by photographers in the former Soviet Union offers a glimpse into the everyday lives of people during that period. 34 of the lots were sold for a total of £313,250. This still by Estonian photographer Isi Trapido entitled "Speed" sold for £2250.

Aleksandras Macijauskas is one of Lithuania's best photographers. He traveled to remote villages in the country to capture the everyday life of the inhabitants there. This picture, called "At the Market," was sold in a lot of three works for £4000.
